Control Point

Description

The Control Point (CP) constitutes the highest hierarchical level in the Railway Operation Telephony System. The Control Point Centre has capacity to operate up to 6 independent 4-wire selective circuits with Western or DTMF signalling, working in a distributed environment made up of multiple Operator and one Supervisor equipment.

The most relevant functional features of the CP equipment developed by ENA Tecnología are:

  • Operation in a distributed environment consisting of multiple Operator equipments and one Supervisor equipment, in such a way that the control ranges can be dynamically assigned to the different equipments.
  • Capacity to manage 6 control ranges with Western or DTMF signalling.
  • Up to 24 local BC/BL telephone lines available.
  • Availability of an automatic telephone line.
  • Able to handle the most frequently used signalling types in ADIF:
    • Western 17, 19 or 21 pulses.
    • Western AF.
    • DTMF.
  • Identification of incoming calls when the signal type allows it.
  • Possibility of hands-free operation.
  • Highly configurable, allowing the equipment to be adapted to multiple regulation situations.
